Interior Designer | Graphic Designer | print & pattern lover

About me

I am a creative person who enjoys a challenge. My first steps into the design industry were as a graphic designer and several years later I entered the professional world of interior design. My love of colour & pattern have always been evident in my designs, but what is really at the heart of my work is the drive to help people, by solving problems through design.

Amy Keast, Designer

About

Amy is an innately creative person who has always loved experimenting with new techniques and materials – drawing, making and creating new things. Having parents with a great love of property, architecture, art and design provided Amy with many invaluable experiences and sparked her imagination for interiors.

Amy’s first steps into the professional world of design as a graphic designer led her into the publishing industry. The skills Amy honed throughout her time in publishing including the art of proportion, hierarchy and balancing of objects on a page, the arrangement and styling of objects for a photoshoot, and the understanding of colour, all link very naturally into the field of interior design. After buying her first house and beginning her first redesign project, Amy decided to explore her passion for interior design further. Winning a competition from the renowned KLC School of Design and House & Garden magazine, gave her the opportunity to study on KLC’s certificate of interior design course and to follow her dream.

Having completed the certificate course, Amy spent some time working in London for a leading Interior Design firm, predominantly on residential projects in the UK & abroad, as well as a few commercial projects.

Amy Keast Designs was formed in 2018 and is based in Cambridgeshire. Amy works closely with clients throughout the design phase and oversees every project with a trusted team of specialist tradespeople on hand to make your project a reality. Amy’s love of colour, pattern and texture have always been evident in her designs, but there are two main focusses at the heart of her work. Firstly, the drive to help people by solving problems through design, and secondly, the drive to protect – our environment, traditional local crafts and techniques, and original character. With these key focusses in mind, Amy strives to use natural materials and combine old and new pieces, reclaiming and repurposing objects and materials wherever possible. Whether it is a lack of space, light or personality in your home; or a change in your life that brings new requirements, Amy is a great listener, always aiming to deliver beautiful, sustainable solutions that perfectly solve your needs.
